DC Global College is a Technology, Languages and Professional Education institution established in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Founded in January 2018 and operating as DC Global College Brazil Ltda under Brazilian law, the institution was created to address a specific and urgent gap in international education — the absence of a genuinely accessible, globally connected pathway for students in Africa and beyond who seek internationally recognised qualifications without the prohibitive costs of studying in Europe, North America, or Australia.
Florianópolis was chosen deliberately. It is Brazil's safest city, home to over 50,000 university students, ranked first in the country for Human Development, and anchored by one of South America's most dynamic technology ecosystems. It offers the academic environment, the quality of life, and the professional infrastructure that students need to not simply study — but to genuinely thrive.
DC Global College delivers its programmes through a hybrid model combining face-to-face campus instruction in Trindade with simultaneous live online access — ensuring that the quality of education is consistent regardless of how a student chooses to learn. Every programme is designed to bridge the gap between where a student is today and where they need to be: qualified, employed, and ready for progression to a university partner in the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Australia, or New Zealand.
The institution is connected to the DC Global Academy, the United Kingdom-based online education partner that delivers self-paced programmes with integrated job assistance for students who require a fully remote learning pathway. Together, the two institutions form a single, coherent educational group with a shared commitment to student outcomes.
From Founding to Our First Students

Foundation
DC Global College is formally established in January 2018, registered under Brazilian law with CNPJ 29.395.178/0001-60. The founding vision is clear from the outset: to build an internationally connected education institution in Brazil that serves students from Africa and beyond, offering recognised qualifications at a cost and in an environment that European and North American institutions cannot match.
Institutional Development
The institution enters an intensive period of curriculum development, accreditation preparation, and infrastructure investment. Eight course categories are finalised, spanning Language Programmes, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Marketing, FinTech, IT Technical Support, Social Care, Cybersecurity, and University Pathway Programmes. Partnerships with Cambridge English, CompTIA, Cisco Networking Academy, and Trinity College London are initiated.
Infrastructure and Accreditation
The Florianópolis campus is established in the Trindade district, adjacent to the Federal University of Santa Catarina. The institution's digital infrastructure is fully built — including a bespoke Learning Management System, a custom student and staff portal, and an integrated admissions platform. University pathway agreements with institutions in the United Kingdom and Canada reach advanced stages of negotiation.
First Cohort and Three Annual Intakes
DC Global College opens its doors to its inaugural student cohort. The first intake brings together students from Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Kenya, the United Kingdom, and Brazil — representing the international character the institution was founded to cultivate. DC Global College operates three intakes per year: January, June, and November. Scholarship places are made available for qualifying applicants across all three intake windows. The Africa Education Roadshow launches in 2027, marking the institution's first formal presence at international education fairs across the continent.

DC Global College issues all required visa documents within 48 hours of deposit payment. Students who complete a qualifying programme and meet academic benchmarks receive support in applying directly to partner universities in the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand — with the potential to save up to £18,000 in UK first-year tuition. The pathway begins at the midpoint of a student's programme, not after graduation.
Hybrid Delivery — Campus and Online Together
Every DC Global College class is delivered simultaneously to students attending in person on the Florianópolis campus and to students joining live online from anywhere in the world. This is not a compromise model — it is a deliberate design that ensures every student, regardless of their physical location, receives the same standard of instruction, the same interaction with lecturers, and the same access to course materials, assessments, and support.

DC Global College maintains a maximum class size of 15 students. Every student is known by name, tracked by progress, and supported individually. In institutions with hundreds of students per class, individual underperformance can go unnoticed for weeks. At DC Global College, it is addressed within days. The United Kingdom arm of the DC Global group offers a fully online, self-paced learning experience for students who require flexibility without compromising on quality or career support.
DC Global Academy is designed for working professionals, career changers, and students who cannot commit to campus-based study. Every programme includes integrated job assistance — not as an optional extra, but as a built-in element of the learning experience. Students complete their qualifications on their own schedule and receive structured support in converting those qualifications into employment.
